Nourish your family
while balancing the financial burden of grocery shopping and the mental load of meal planning.

Feeding Our Growing Home
Feeding our family meals involves a balancing act. It is a challenge to choose meals that will nourish our bodies and fit within our weekly grocery budget.
We buy most of our food at Aldi. I typically prioritize the quality of nutrient dense and frequently eaten foods.
For example, we often eat:
- ground beef
- plain Greek yogurt
- chicken breast
So, I buy:
- organic grass-fed beef
- organic full fat plain Greek yogurt
- organic free-range chicken breasts
Are these products perfect? No, but they are the better choices that can fall within the weekly grocery budget.
When prices allow, pasture raised eggs and organic grains are chosen.
Sometimes, my husband gets into stretches of homemade bread and homemade tortillas and I get in grooves of homemade bagels. When we get out of that routine, we try to choose breads with a shorter shelf life and less ingredients.
It is a balancing act, and we are all doing our best.
